Objets à fonction indéterminée

Make a decision and allow things to emerge: an experiment with forms with an unpredictable conclusion

There were remains of models whose unusual shapes were striking to me. I photographed and stored them until I received an invitation for a studio stay from Sitterwerk St. Gallen, where there was a 3D printer. Next decision: generate volumes out of the surfaces. The digitized coincidental shapes were rotated around their straight edges and several of the complex forms were then produced on the 3D printer. Let it rest. Until participating in the exhibition Hello Today at Galerie Helmrinderknecht. I chose three simple forms and decided to shift the rotation axis away from the edge by 15 mm. This resulted in a hole in the middle, 30 mm in diameter. Preliminary result: eleven objects of indeterminate function. But the experiment is far from over.
