Neumünster Reformed Church, Zurich

Exuding power without dominating

The church Neumünster is used not only for religious services, but also for many other events and concerts. This expansion was to be visible from the sanctuary, which was renovated under the direction of architect Matthias Hubacher. I received the commission to design the liturgical furnishings, which until then had only existed in reduced form, and developed a modular concept for a communion table, a lectern, and stands for flowers and candles. In this process, I referred to the diamond pattern that shapes the window divisions and the balustrades of the gallery. The furniture, kept in light gray, appears light and flexible and sets accents wherever they are located.
