Galerie Mark Müller Hafnerstrasse 44, Zurich

Patina and proportions: located just a stone’s throw away from Zurich’s central station in the city’s former industrial area, Mark Müller Gallery’s new space used to be a workshop. Well-proportioned spaces and patina were the decisive factors in doing renovations. Working with generous wall surfaces and precise lighting, the primary aim of the architectural modifications was to create the best possible conditions for the contemplation of art. In addition, a 13-meter long, room-height partition is a striking feature that merges several functions such as bookshelves, storage, wardrobe and kitchenette.
