Installation, reception rooms at the Ambassador’s Residence

Artistic exchange in a place dedicated to conversation

At the invitation of the artist Vincent Marbacher, I contributed several works to his installation for the representative spaces at the Swiss Embassy in London. Objets à fonction indéterminée and Objets mélancoliques along with the lamp Objet Lumière No. 1 now communicate with Marbacher’s “paintings in a state of pause,” as he calls them. The folded, loosely hanging canvases react for their part to the spaces and art works that the artist found at the residence. For the Swiss ambassador Alexandre Fasel, this location serves the purpose of representation as well as communication and mediation, where, in his view, art can play a part.
