Dreikönigen Catholic Church, Zurich

The new liturgical furnishings are based on an architectural detail

The window, ceiling, and even the steeple of Dreikönigen Church reveal a pattern of diagonal crosses. This pattern was designed by Ferdinand Pfammatter, one of the two architects of the church built between 1949 and 1951. For the new design of the liturgical furnishings, I took up this notable detail and gave it a new interpretation. Altar, pulpit, and the base of the baptismal font create a link between the postwar structure and the new choir.
